How the Trackbar System Works
Step 1 – Elevate the Machine
Lift the machine so the rubber track is fully off the ground and free to move.
Step 2 – Release Track Tension
Remove the track housing cover and loosen the grease tensioner nut or bolt to relieve pressure and create slack in the track.
Step 3 – Install the Trackbars
Slide the bars onto the track. For machines with larger idlers, space the bars every other tooth. On smaller machines, bars can be positioned closer together as needed.
Step 4 – Rotate Toward the Idler
Roll the bars toward the idler where you intend to dislodge the track.
Step 5 – Dislodge and Remove the Track
Pull the track outward until the teeth clear the idler while maintaining slight rubber contact to preserve tension. Rotate the bars toward the rear idler and repeat the process. Continue rotating toward the sprocket to fully dislodge the track, allowing it to slide off the front and rear simultaneously.
When rubber tracks come off, productivity stops. The United Skid Tracks Trackbar System provides a simple, durable, and cost-effective solution to get your equipment operational again—without unnecessary downtime.
Built for operators who demand strength, reliability, and performance in the field.
