CASE TR270 Front Idler Details
Our CASE TR270 front idlers are manufactured to meet OEM specifications, providing a reliable fit and dependable performance. These single flange tension idler assemblies are built with durable double-lip seals that keep dirt and debris out while retaining lubrication for long service life.
The front idler mounts directly to the track tensioner or adjuster assembly and helps maintain proper rubber track tension. If your track tensioner is fully extended but the track still has slack, a worn front idler may be the cause and should be replaced.
For maximum undercarriage lifespan and performance, we recommend inspecting all undercarriage components during routine maintenance and replacing worn parts together.
This front idler fits early-generation machines as well as many current models. However, CNH released a larger diameter idler in 2015 (OEM number 47620836). Your existing machine may be equipped with this larger idler, which is approximately two inches larger in diameter. This is the front-most roller on the undercarriage and is not interchangeable with the rear idler position.
The idler wheel mounts to the tensioner at the front of the track frame and plays a critical role in maintaining proper track alignment. Replacing a worn front tension idler helps prevent track slack, premature wear, and de-tracking.
