Our Bobcat T870 rear idler is engineered to optimize the winding angle and evenly distribute load across the track system, resulting in improved stability and extended track life. Built to meet the original OEM specifications, this single-flange tension idler assembly features heavy-duty double-lip seals that keep out dirt and debris while holding lubrication for long-lasting, reliable performance.

This is the larger rear roller positioned underneath the sprocket at the back of the undercarriage. It fits machines within the original serial breaks for the A3P, AN8, ATF, and B3B ranges. However, after the B47 serial break, this idler is no longer compatible. The T870 rear idler is significantly more robust than earlier Bobcat loaders and cannot be interchanged with smaller or prior-generation models.

Before ordering, please confirm that your machine uses a solid-mount undercarriage system, as suspension-style undercarriages may require a different part number. There are currently no alternate part listings for this idler, and fitment is guaranteed only for the serial ranges below:

If your track tensioner is fully extended but slack remains, a worn rear idler is a common cause. De-tracking from the rear is another strong indicator. As idlers wear down, they reduce overall track tension, making it appear as though the track is stretching when it’s actually the idler losing diameter.

For best results and maximum undercarriage lifespan, we recommend inspecting all undercarriage components during routine maintenance and replacing worn parts together.
